Early this year, Bottega Veneta released a rather odd-looking handbag I’m not sure was designed by a person with the right frame of mind. Take a look at the whole thing:
If not for the really white and clean look, I could’ve sworn this bag was garbage left to be played with by cats believing it was their scratching post.
Bottega Veneta normally does away with bold pieces and stick with the classic and simple designs. This is coming out of their comfort zone and releasing a bag that surely does let one do a double take, but for the wrong reasons.

Satchel shaped handbags are so popular now and I imagine it will remain to be popular in the months to come. A favorite bag brand by many, Coach has released its latest satchel design.
One look and you can definitely say that this handbag is a beauty. It looks stylish and sturdy. It beautifully combines gold and mixed metal hardware with its caramel leather. The satchel also looks roomy and versatile. You can wear it with anything and use it when you’re going to be out with friends for weekend shopping, or on a business meeting at the boardroom. It’s the kind of handbag you can effortlessly shift into from work to weekends.
My only issue with this beautifully styled bag? It may take me minutes to open it. I still find totes the most convenient because you can just throw anything in there. This one’s not good when I’m rushing at the cashier counter, and that’s the only reason why I’m not so sold on this.

Flagship Leather Flap Satchel by Coach
While looking through a fashion magazine, I spotted this gorgeous handbag that model Ataui Deng was carrying —
I quickly searched for it online and discovered this one’s a Chloe and it is their Marcie Embroidered Satchel and I love that it comes in two versatile colors — caramel and black.
What drew me first from this bag is that it comes with this beautiful embroidered detail. The leather almost looks like lace and it really lends a gorgeous appeal.
But what makes it equally special is that the bag is shaped like a horseshoe and even comes with bow-buckes as accent.

This classic Veneta handbag, which was released a couple of years ago, still remains a favorite everyday bag by many. It is particularly distinct because of its intrecciato weaving which has already become a trademark for the brand. I personally love the bag for its functionality. The shape and material makes it pretty convenient to put everyday stuff in it. The style is only secondary, however, it does look tasteful and elegant. I wouldn’t think it needed any updating or changing.
But apparently, the people behind Bottega Veneta thinks the classic bag needs a touch up.
For release this coming spring is the frayed version of this bag…which actually leaves me baffled. This style is a contradiction. The frays lend a disheveled appeal, but in white, it looks absolutely pristine.
