Designer Rebecca Minkoff was recently seen in town one of her creations, the Rivington convertible clutch bag which rounds up to about $835.

This piece is a perfect mix of the vintage and the trendy. What’s to love about it is that its structure is definitely classic and old school, with its perfect geometric shape. But the bold choices of colors and that unusual pattern make the bag stand out. With its color-blocking style, this handbag delivers a bit of that modern edge.

This handbag can be carried via the top handle, but it also comes conveniently with a chain strap. This piece is a considerably versatile handbag which can be worn with casuals or may also look right for business meetings.

Wood is seldom used to create handbags as most bags come in fabric or leather and soft leather. If any handbag were to have any wood in it, it would have to be the accent pieces, but never the whole bag itself.

But this handbag from Supplii is not only unique in its design and idea, but the product itself is a genius. But it doesn’t have a lot going for, in terms of usability or function. Because there’s not a lot you can put in the bag and it’s also quite heavy to carry, I imagine, if this were any bigger.

For concept and execution, however, I think this handbag deserves an acknowledgement.

The Wooden Clutch Bag

The royal sister and now, fashion icon, Pippa Middleton was recently seen in town with the Leoni handbag clutch.

Pippa’s perennial favorite, her $225 Modalu handbag, has temporarily been set aside for this $3,300 handbag and as always, the stylish woman carries it well.

The bag is made of python leather and has texture. It features a chain strap with gold detailing. It comes in many fashionable colors, but I guess black would have to be a classic choice. I like that it’s quite understated and yet the bag exudes elegance.

Be it formal or just a normal everyday event, this handbag would be great to use.

The clincher here is this handbag is supposedly not yet available, but I guess being a royal sister and one of the most stylish woman fashion magazines are following these days, Pippa gets to get first dibs on it.

Pippa Middleton Struts With The Latest Bulgari Handbag

When it comes to handbags, Burberry’s would not be first label I’d pick bags from. Most of their designs do not appeal to me. Although they do look sleek and preppy, it’s just not the style I would immediately like.

But that may all change with this Nude Collection, which is set for launching today, the first of September, in connection with the launch of their newest fragrance named Body.

I like the fact that these handbags are totally without frills and embellishments. Made of leather and suede, these are really elegant and has none of that plaid print Burberry is known for. Designer Christopher Bailey definitely made sure to play it all up on the bag’s material and design.

This bowling bag lends a fresh look, I cannot help but love it.

And this clutch bag, with its exotic python leather, is a total beauty:

The Nude Collection actually also includes apparel and other accessories, all to tie up with their newest fragrance.

I was never big on clutch bags, nor matelasse design for that matter. Matelasse is kind of a quilted or padded style and you often see this with many of Miu Miu’s handbags, particularly her clutches.

So going back…clutches and quilted/padded aren’t my thing.

But something about these clutch bags make me wanna go out to the mall and look into the rest of the clutch bag designs out there.

These are just really pretty, I’m kind of inspired to incorporate clutch bags in my wardrobe now and see how I can pull it off.

I think more than the style and material of this bag, the size of the clutch appeals to me. I like my handbags big and functional since I put a lot of stuff in mine and the size of this is perhaps the perfect choice to bringing a bag that’s not too small, you can only fit paper bills in it, and not too big that it looks like you’re clutching an envelope.

I also love the color, in turquiose and brown huses, which beautifully fits fall season.
