Wood is seldom used to create handbags as most bags come in fabric or leather and soft leather. If any handbag were to have any wood in it, it would have to be the accent pieces, but never the whole bag itself.
But this handbag from Supplii is not only unique in its design and idea, but the product itself is a genius. But it doesn’t have a lot going for, in terms of usability or function. Because there’s not a lot you can put in the bag and it’s also quite heavy to carry, I imagine, if this were any bigger.
For concept and execution, however, I think this handbag deserves an acknowledgement.

The Wooden Clutch Bag
On first glance, you would not suspect that a bag like this can actually come with a compact drawer.
Like so…
Released last year by Liz Couture, this satchel is made of croc-embossed patent leather and comes in either red and black.
As it is, the satchel already makes this a roomy bag. But being built in with a drawer keeps all of the contents in your bag organized and you don’t have to wade through the bottom just to look for stuff. Inside, the bag is lined with light tan fabric.
The drawer doesn’t make this bag heavy, too, which makes carrying it even better. And given that it comes in red makes it a perfect fit for fall season’s trends. Although, personally, I’d much rather prefer the black one.

There was a time when a few friends and I obsessed about Vera Bradley handbags. You know, those large printed ones made from fabric that some people think are diaper bags? That was the problem with a Vera Bradley handbag sometimes. Some people mistook it for a mommy bag and you’ve got to wear it the right way to look less mommy-ish.
But Vera Bradley’s were very affordable, which is why it was easy to consider getting them, despite how it may look sometimes (besides, most of my friends are mothers).
Anyway, the brand has a new design out called their Chain Bag in Happy Snails. With this new design, I think it’s not going to be mistaken for a diaper bag anymore.

One other thing about Vera Bradleys is that these are pretty much summer pieces for some women. But as with any other pieces, if you know how to carry the style the right way, you can wear it basically in most any occasion.
These chain handbags are sized at 13″ x 8½” x 5″, with 7″ strap drop and 34¾” detachable chain strap.
Lovely, lovely Vera Bradley. I think my friends and I are going go crazy over it again.
New Chain Bags from Vera Bradley
I’ve just seen photos of Gucci’s fall and winter line for their handbag collection and the most dominant feature for this is its bamboo top handle. Many of their bag designs for this set come with it but the one style that really stood out to me is the evening clutchbag.
The piece’s size is so cute, as it is only about 15 cm wide. But it is, well…extravagantly elegant, to say the least. The design is exquisite.
The black version is made of snakeskin leather. Gorgeous! Featured with a leather bow and gold hardware accent to complement the bamboo top handle, this looks really sophisticated and classy.
Another style comes in gold diamante fabric, which I think is trendier than the black one. The latter is more fitting to those with classic taste.
Whichever evening bag you choose, I think it’s safe to say that you’re going out with style with this perfect clutchbag. The chain straps are detachable, so you can carry this a different way.
Though it’s an evening bag, I think it would work to wear it during day time as well, provided it’s matched with the right pieces in the wardrobe. I can definitely see this on someone wearing dressy shorts and a blazer.
