Milski is a collection of whimsical handbags from Paris. They’re called art bags because one of the facets of their collection consists of colorful and artful designs that either become the bag’s actual outer surface or its inner lining.
The collection is made from high quality leather. It’s contemporary and uniquely fashionable. The bags look edgy and playful. Each design is one of a kind, and yes, these can be customized.
I especially love its Two-Faced tote, which from the outside, it looks like a regular, functional handbag but then it comes with a dash of personality because of its artful printed lining.
The artsy designs may also be done on the outside, like so:
Milski’s regular tote bag isn’t all that bad as well. It actually looks fabulous and like all the rest of the designs, it also comes with a selection of artful prints:
The Disco bag is its classic shoulder bag, with a little twist. I do like the tassel on its flap’s locks, and the gold chain hardware embellish.
The lining on the inside adds that special Milski distinction.

It was Chanel who made chain strap bags a classic staple in a woman’s wardrobe and today, the newest designs that are out come in really cool styles and variations of the original chain strap.
The handbags look more elegant with the chains for some reason. And here are a few other picks that give the chain strap a whole new vibe:
Rebecca Minkoff Camo Printed Leather ‘Mac’ at Bluefly
This bag comes in a combination of green and brown grained leather and is accented with goldtone hardware. To soften the style, a tassel pull was added which I think gives this bag a sexy and edgy vibe. The inside is lined with dash print fabric, with two trimmed pockets and a zip pocket.
Gold Coast Shimmer Evangeline at Kate Spade
I think this handbag could be a good alternative to a Chanel. It’s sleek and classy and definitely versatile. This is made from pebbled cowhide and the trims are coated in metallic. The hardware is gold plated. That it comes in a nude shade makes it wearable for any type of clothes.
Prada Light Blue Tweed Flap Chain Bag at Bluefly
This chain strap is sassy. It’s from Prada, so you basically have an idea of its craftsmanship. Featuring denim fabric with a contrasting stitchwork, this handbag is lined with suede inside. While it can look casual, with the right clothes this can also be a sophisticated addition to your wardrobe.

After a brief break, Rafe Totengco, whose handbag creation under his Rafe label was the toast of the town a few seasons ago, is back and is launching a new collection under the Jones Group and Nine West.
The latest handbag designs are inspired from Totengco’s Filipino roots, with the pieces featuring exotic fabric like ikat prints and weaving.
According to the designer, ethnic and tribal are always trendy during the spring season, thus, he only had to go back to his origin to draw inspiration for this latest designs.
The handbags also come with abaca fabric, which has been woven by Tiboli tribes in his homeland. They call this fabric the Tinalak, which is one of the Philippines’ most popular contributions to the fashion world.
Imagine something like that incorporated in a contemporary handbag design, and you know it will just be beautiful and unique.
His other designs will also include minaudieres with mother of pearls and handbags with silk tassels. The price range for this collection should fall under $195 to $500.
Rafe’s latest collection is sort of like a re-launch for his brand.

For a while now, I’ve seen lots of women carrying Louis Vuitton’s Neverfull with them because it’s basically the kind of bag you can put anything inside. With it’s very wide interior, the bag is literally never full and I think this Phantom tote from Celine is going to beat that.
How gorgeous are these bags, huh?
The design has been intentionally over extended, with its flaps on the side. It looks like a batwing, which is actually quite trendy, as you see this in a lot of tops and blouses for women.
The bag is accented with a tassel….lots and lots of tassel and while the shape does seem wacky, the bag can still look traditionally like a luggage shopper, which is quite sophisticated.
The bags are either made of suede/leather or croc leather. I can’t help but gush over its sheer gorgeousness.
What about you?
You can get this from Celine when it comes out for Fall 2011.
Céline Luggage Phantom
There’s so much style and character to this hand woven tote. The geometric design with the tassel, and the overall exotic looking style, makes this bag so different. A clear stand-out.
